PEAR SORTING MACHINE

Pears are a delicate fruit that must be handled with care. At STAS we are specialized in offering best solutions for packing and grading pears carefully and quick without brushes caused for friction or by drops.

STAS offer turnkey solutions for that lead packhouses to reduce considerable savings in labour costs. We are also specialized in growing apple-trees, fertilizers, spraying machinery and of course machinery for packing and grading apples.

INFEED

Infeed is the first stage of our turnkey solutions. STAS designs state of the art tipping and dumping solutions to
gently tipping bins into water tanks or into transport belts. The capacity of our
bin dumpers goes up to 60 bins per hour.

STAS Compact Apple / Pear

The STAS Compact apple / pear dumper is only suitable for apples and pears.

This machine is the simple version of a portal dumper.

STAS standard Portal Dumpers Apple / Pear

With our underwater unloading systems (portal dumpers and compact dumpers) the bins are carefully immersed in a water tank.

The new FAST portal dumper developed by STAS NV Belgium.

Elevator + sprayer + clean water

STAS supplies a wide range of water channels, sprayers and brushes for the proper handling of apples and pears. STAS washers are used to remove impurities or pests from fresh produce such as pears or apples before they are sorted.

Drying System For Pears

STAS offers various solutions for drying and cleaning your fruit. Usually, we use sponges and if the drying requirements for our customers are critical, we use hot air. Our drying rollers are easy to clean and if space is limited, STAS can offer you compact drying solutions.
As a result, there is much less risk of skin damage as with brushing and we also ensure that fresh produce is fully dried.

SINGULATION

To ensure accurate sorting and grading of fresh produce using cameras, proper sorting is essential. This is why we manufacture step and V-belts using stainless steel and food-grade materials.

CUP-GRADER

Our Pear Cup XL grading machine is specifically designed to handle pears and thanks to the newly designed unique brushes and cups our automated singulator can align and rotate pears without manual operators.

EXTERNAL QUALITY

Providing the perfect quality to your customers with the help of our STAS Pear Twin Vision Hyperspectral camera system! Working with a variety of user defined quality sorting parameters, each and every pear passing under the cameras will be sorted in the quality catagory of your choice. The Twin Vision HS allows you to optimize batch quality and to add value by satisfying the needs of your different markets.

PACKING & PALLETIZING

STAS provides tailor-made solutions. An example being our line of unique and versatile packaging systems. Produce is packaged in accordance to the individual requirements of the customer (e.g. supermarkets and retailers). Options include crates, boxes, bags or punnets. All packaging can be labelled with the date of production and all other desired information, enabling accurate tracking and tracing on an international level.

Bin Fillers

By using our advanced filling hoppers in combination with our wet box fillers, you can quickly and gently fill your boxes with your pre-sorted apples or pears. All information about your sorted products can be printed on the bin label or exported to a database or ERP software.

Our dry-bin fillers are specially designed to repack your products from your commit-to-pack sorting line. By combining high capacity with gentle fruit handling, you can safely and efficiently repackage pre-sorted apples and pears.

Packing Options

Each installation is unique. To accommodate the various installation requirements, STAS offers a wide range of packing options. From automatic box filling with extremely gentle product handling to baggers, which will fill each and every bag exactly according to your piece and size specifications.

Combi Packing Tables Or Transport Bands

COMBI PACKS

The Combi packs are used for manual packing of the selected fruit coming from the sizer. Our combi packing tables have two infeed conveyors, and several packing trays to place empty boxes and also it can also weight cartons. Combi packs also incorportate a lower conveyors for the exit of the full boxes. About the lower conveyor can also be incorporated a roller conveyor for the infeed of empty boxes.
